Where is Settlify available?
Settlify is available on Android, iOS, and the web. The web version lets anyone join or create a group, add and edit expenses, and view balances — no download needed, from any browser. The native apps add notifications and integrated payment apps like Revolut and Twint.
How does the free trial work?
Your first group is completely free — all features included, no credit card required. Create a group, invite your friends, and try it together. You only pay when you start a second group. Joining an existing group is always free.
How long can I use Settlify One for?
Settlify One is meant for one-off events and short trips. You pay once when you need it - you get all the features. We leave you 1 month after the group's starting date with full access. This should give you plenty of time to add any charges that come through late. After that you will still be able to access and settle the group - just not add new expenses. If you happen to need more time for your group though, drop us a line at hello@settlify.app and we will sort you out with more time for free 😊
Who pays for the group?
The group creator pays but shares it with the group. We add that expense as the first one to share in the group. For a few cents each, everyone enjoys all the features - without ads and daily limits.
Can I use different currencies?
Yes! Settlify supports multiple currencies, perfect for international trips. Settlify can simplify them to a single currency to reduce the number of transactions needed.
How does settlement calculation work?
Settlify uses a smart algorithm to minimize the number of transactions needed. Instead of everyone paying everyone back, we calculate the optimal way to settle all debts with the fewest transfers.
Do my friends need to sign up?
No. Your friends just open the link in their browser — no signup, no download required. That said, if they want to access their groups across devices or avoid losing their data, we recommend signing up — it's free. Organisers on the other hand, always need a free account to ensure the group link is not lost.
Is my financial data secure?
We don't store any financial information about you and only track who owes what - not how you settle up. No money changes hands through our app. In-app purchases for group creation are processed by Google Play Store and Apple App Store, so your financial information stays secure with you.
